VERBO TO BE (Pasado Simple)

VERB TO BE    (Simple Past)

Ok como lo mencione en el intro, el pasado del VERBO TO BE, no es más que eso, Poner en pasado el VERBO TO BE, y toda la carreta del presente y ya está así de fácil.

Ok, as I said in the intro, the simple past of THE VERB TO BE, is not any more difficult that putting the VERB TO BE in past and all the stuff we did in the simple present, is that simple.

ASI:

LIKE THIS:

Todo lo que diga IS-AM lo cambiamos por WAS, y todo lo que diga ARE lo cambiamos por WERE. Y yap.

Everything that says IS-AM we change it for WAS, and everything that sais ARE we change it to WERE. It’s done.

IS-AM x WAS

ARE x Were

Por ejemplo:

For Example:

Yo estaba en el colegio.       Yo era estudiante.

I was in the school.               I was a Student

Ella era mi amiga                  Ella estaba en la casa.

She was my friend.               She was in the house.

Ahora bien.

Well then.

Si en presente escribíamos:

If we wrote in simple present:

-I  AM                     Yo soy/estoy   

- YOU ARE            tu eres/estas

- HE IS                    El es/esta

- SHE IS                  Ella es/esta

- IT IS                      Eso es/esta 

- WE ARE               Nosotros Somos/estamos                        

- YOU ARE             Ustedes Son/estan          

- THEY ARE          Ellos Son/Estan

      

  

En pasado simple escribiremos:

In simple past we must write:

- I WAS                       Yo era/estaba  

- YOU WERE              Tu eras/estabas      

- HE WAS                   El era/estaba    

- SHE WAS                 Ella era/estaba  

- IT WAS                    Eso era/estaba    

- WE WERE               Nosotros éramos/estabamos

- YOU WERE              Ustedes Eran/estaban      

- THEY WERE                       Ellos eran/estaban

Ahora solo necesitas agregar muchos complementos y sujetos diferentes para crear millones de oraciones con el VTB (pasado simple) afirmativo en inglés.

And the only thing you need is to add lots of complements and different subjects to create millions of sentences with the affirmative (simple past) form of VTB in English.

I was a very intelligent student.

Yo era un estudiante inteligente.

you eres my best friend

tu were mi mejor amigo.

he was the family doctor.

el era el doctor de la familia.

She was my mother

ella era mi madre.

It was my computer

ese era mi computador.

we were awesome

nosotros eramos sorprendentes

you were in the class

ustedes estabamos en la clase.

they are on vacations.

ellos están en vacaciones.
